01 / Structure

Three phases, one standard.

  1. IWeeks 01–02

    Training

The foundations of equity research: reading financial statements, analysing and valuing a company, developing an investment thesis, and the research standards HAVEN expects.

  2. IIWeeks 03–04

    First research report

Students apply their training to a complete equity research report on a public company, then revise it in response to feedback.

  3. IIIWeeks 05–06

    Second research report

A second report that goes deeper, building on the lessons of the first. Reports that meet HAVEN’s standard are considered for publication.

The detailed weekly syllabus, mentor involvement and review process are published with each cohort.

02 / Outcomes

What members work toward.

Every outcome is earned. Publication and recommendations depend on the quality of your work.

  1. 01

    Two equity research reports

Complete, reviewed reports you wrote yourself.

  2. 02

    Eligibility for publication

Reports that meet HAVEN’s quality standard may be published in our research library under your name.

  3. 03

    Certificate of completion

Awarded to members who meet the program’s requirements.

  4. 04

    Possible letter of recommendation

Based on the work you demonstrate and your contribution. It is never automatic.

  5. 05

    Practical experience

Research, analysis, writing and presenting investment ideas.

03 / Selection

Selective, on the evidence.

Applications are reviewed on the work you have already done and how you think. Previous research and analysis count for a lot; commitment matters too.

  1. I

    Previous work

Equity research reports, financial analysis or other work samples you have produced. Strong examples carry real weight.

  2. II

    Analytical thinking

How you reason about a business, shown in your answer on a company you find interesting.

  3. III

    Experience and level

Where you are with equity research and investing today, and what you have done to get there.

  4. IV

    Commitment and integrity

Meeting deadlines, working professionally, and following our academic-integrity and AI-use policies.
